Hey, stranger. Allow me to formally introduce myself: I’m Madeline Haller, your new Girl Next Door.

Maybe you’ve read my latest column in the May issue of Men’s Health (pg. 58, I’m on newsstands now!). If you follow the Girl Next Door social media accounts, you may have seen my headshot, or caught a glimpse of what my life is like via Instagram. Or perhaps none of the above is true, and you’re stumbling upon this blog for the first time.

Whatever the case may be, you’re here now. We’re acquaintances, so to speak. And I’m here to help you.

My goal? Whether it’s sex- or dating-related, I’m here to give you straightforward, no-nonsense advice.

Because here’s the thing: I write about sex research—a lot. In fact, you may recognize my byline from the countless articles I’ve done for Men’s Health News. But the problem with writing about scientific research is even though studies provide us with tons of fascinating information, reporting on research doesn’t always allow much room for opinion.

Science can’t necessarily “listen” to your questions, or give you an exact step-by-step guide to getting your wife off, or even explain why your girlfriend gets irritated when you continuously forget your anniversary. But that’s OK, because science doesn’t have a go-to answer for everything. It can’t. Every woman is different, every “solution” is different, and every scenario requires its own attention.

Am I saying I have the answers to everything? Of course not! But I have two ears to hear you out, and most likely a lot to say in return.

Simply put: If you’re looking for an insider’s opinion to the female mind, you’ve come to the right place. All you have to do is ask!
